Magic Mushroom 1967
Members: Doug Hawksworth, Ron Whip and Tony Toly

They met while attending Eighth Ave. Elementary in the 1960's. They discovered that they enjoyed music by the Doors, Blue Cheer, Jimi Hendrix, The Cream and
many groups of that time. With Doug on guitar, Ron on Bass and Tony on drums, they began to learn how to play many songs from their favorite groups. Their first gig was playing in a parade to promote a local politician where they had to perform in the back of a pickup truck. They would perform at Alice's Restaurant on 3rd Ave. and later open for local bands at the Glenwood Centre.
