Rekless formed in the early 80’s when Gerry Francoeur (drums) and Mike Pearson (guitar and vocals) joined Dave Pedersen (vocals, bass and guitar), Marc Duquette (bass, keys and vocals) and Connie Meyer (Roodbol) (vocals) of Straight Shooter. They enjoyed much success in the tail end of the then-thriving local bar/club
scene playing a mix of Top 40 and other popular rock tunes (before it was
called ‘Classic Rock’). Their final gig was New Years’ Eve, December 31, 1985
at the Glenwood Centre. The line-up stayed fairly consistent while they
were together, with the exception of the appearance of John Brossoit for
a time holding down the drum position.
